DeMarcus Ware, the Cowboy's #1 draft pick. Posted by Hello

Full practice started Friday, and sure enough, there was our boy Ware lined up as an outside linebacker, indeed in a 3-4 defense. Parcells' says he views Ware as an "interchangable player", even lining him up on the slot reciever at times. Let's not forget Spears, who checked in a beastly 307 lbs., but Parcells said he wants him down to 295 by week 1.

Pete Hunter, who is definately staying with the Boys, will NOT be permanantly moved to safety, but in the mix in a nickel defense, as well and Jaque Reeves (?) in the safety position.

Who will RT this year? Rob Petitti? Probably not. Jurt Vollers? Maybe; he started 3 games last year. Torrin Tucker? probably, who started 13 games last year

Who will be the center? Since the signing of Marc Riviera, Andre Gurode has been without a job, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Bill is moving him back to center, which he played in college, but he has to fight of veteran Al Johnson for the spot.

One more, One Less

Well, that didn't take long. 24 hours after being cut by the Texans, CB Aaron Glenn signed a 2-year deal with the Cowboys. He is expected to start behind Terrence Newman and Anthony Henry. One another note, the Cowboys said that Richien Anderson will not return next year. He had anterior cervical surgerey this off-season and is "not going to play" with the 'Boys this year, although he has not said he was going to retire.

Aaron Glenn, the ex-Texan, possibly a Cowboy soon. Posted by Hello

Dallas just re-signed Pete Hunter, and their on the move again. Less than 24 hours after being released from the Texans, Aaron Glenn is taling with the 'Boys. In addition to him and Hunter, they join Terrence Newman, Anthony Henry and about 4-5 returners from last year. It's anyone's guess whi will start this year, so stay tuned, I'll tell you as soo as I know.

Dallas Pick: With FS Justin Beriault and OT Rob Petitti, Dallas actually got away from the D lineman. I'm not quite sure why we are backing Roy Williams instead of the SS, but maybe a transistion is in the works. Also, Flozell and Larry Allen don't have much left, so an OT was a good pick.

Dallas Pick: Why? I know we need DE's, but 4? Why not take a WR? Keyshawn and Glenn are getting on in years and Morgan isn't exactly young. A DE was not the way to go when we already had 3 others

Grade: F

WHEW! That was it. Back to regualr programming.

Indianapolis, pick 135 (Compensatory Selection)
Giordano, Matt
FS, California

Tennessee, pick 136 (Compensatory Selection)
Williams, Roydell
WR, Tulane

Here comes the 2nd string. 5 WR and 5 RB were choses in this rd.

Best Move: Pittsburgh. They finally took a reciever to possibly fill the 3rd slot on offense after the absence of Plexico. We'll have to see if Fred Gibson actually gerts playing time, or if they bring someone else up out of the practice squad.

Worst Move: There were actually no bad moves this round, as most of these picks won't even start.

Dallas Pick: Dallas made a good move in getting Marion Barber. Parcells likes a lot of RB's and this guy may turn out to be JJ's number one backup. On the other hand, I don't agree with another DE, when they could have gotton a CB, or possibly a WR.
Rating: B-

McCoy, Matt

Baltimore, pick 64 (from New England, Pats get pick 84, 195, and a 3rd rd. in 2006)
Terry, Adam
OT, Syracuse

All over the place in rd 2, with 7 CB and 3 FS, making a total of 10 D-backs

Best Move: Baltimore taking Dan Cody. I, personally, was shocked that he went this late. I was expecting him to go in the 1st rd., but what do I know?

Worst Move: Awarded to 2 teams, first of all the Jets for taking a damn KICKER with the 47th pick, which you traded for. A kicker should never be taken before the 3rd rd., so they suck. And of course, the Browns prove that they are just as dumb again, taking a FS when they still have NO QB's. Way to go morons.

Dallas pick: They have definatley shown that they are going to a 3-4 with this selection. It looks like it could be Al Singleton, Dat Ngyuen, DeMarcus Ware, and Kevin Burnett in as LB's while Marcus Spears, La' Roi Glover, Jason Ferguson, and Greg Ellis swap on the line.

Pick Grade: B+

Denver, pick 101 (Compensatory Selection)
Clarett, Maurice
RB, Ohio State

Here come the big men, 10 lineman chosen in this round, and Maurice Clarett is finally picked. Bout time, I was getting tired of his crying.

Best Move: This also is the dual purpose once awarded It's About Damn Time Award, and it goes to the Browns for finally picking a QB. I was about to lose what little hope I had in that team.

Worst Move: Denver. Why o why would your forfeit a pick? It helps you in no way!! This even beat out KC taking a punter! If all else fails, just close your eyes and pick the first person your finger lands on, also known as the Bronws style.

Dallas pick: Dallas had no choice this round.

WOW! And thats the end of round 1. 3 RB taken in the first 5 picks? Strong year for the ground game. Watch out for the Lion's passing game bext year.

Best Move: This only applies if it actually works, but I give this to the Lions for Rd. 1. With Charles Rodgers, Roy Williams, and now Mike Williams, Harrington has no excuses, even if he does suck.

Worst Move: Definatley to the Browns. At their pick, Aaron Rodgers was still available, as was Jason Campbell. They have zero, that's right, count 'em, zero QB's on their roster, releasing Holcombe and Garcia. And they take a WR?? What's the point of a WR if there is no one to thrown them the ball? What the hell is going on over there?

Cowboy's pick: Excellent pick by Dallas. They might move to a 3-4 now, with the hybrid addition of DeMarcus Ware, or if they do stay 4-3, it's still and excellent choice
Grade: A+

Draft Coverage!! Woot!

Saturday, April 23rd, 2005
I think I have actually decieded to do full draft coverage becasue:

1. I'm stuck at my mom's house with notyhing to do and
2. I'm a loser

So, check back here Sunday morning for the first draft day coverage (No, I'm noy so much a loser as to provide live coverage). In addition to listing all picks for all teams, I will also list (in my opinion) The Best Move and The Worst Move award per round, as well as discuss the Cowboy's pick that round and rate it on how smart a move they made. Confusing? Check back here tomorrow and find out.
