This NFL is not in any way associated with, & does not endorse, this video. It is purely a fan based production. I only used clips of guys that looked like they were groovin, so if you didn't make the cut I'm sorry, but you just weren't funky enough. The one exception I made was Firestorm because I didn't want his bitchass gettin my page all soggy pouting about not being included again :^)

McQuistan ran with the first team while Flozell Adams (knee) rehabbed. His roster spot seems safe despite James Marten and Doug Free's additions.

Johnson, who ran a 4.69 at the Combine his first year, could play nose or end in a 3-4 but Dallas' scouting director says "Any interest would be pretty minimal right now." Owner Jerry Jones might revisit the idea closer to camp.

Here’s my offensive line roster evaluation that follows Todd Archer’s series of evaluations.
Flozell Adams LT – Maddeningly inconsistent. He looks the part, has the size and has the tools; he just never puts it all together for consistent runs. He’ll have games when he looks like an all-star, but he’ll also have games when he almost single-handedly kills an offense. Most of the time, his games fluctuate between those two extremes. The problem is you never know which Flozell will show up. He’s almost assuredly in his last season with Dallas, the Cowboys won’t pay the money that Adams wants, and have already started grooming possible replacements. They want to go younger.
Kyle Kosier LG – I like him when he’s on the move; when the Cowboys pull him he usually hits the hole on time, without messing up the timing of the play, and he can deliver a good block. It’s the straight up stuff that seems to bother him. He can be beat when asked to hold his ground or to drive block on a run.
Andre Gurode C – The light bulb year for Gurode was last year, he went from bust to paid. If things hadn’t worked out, Gurode would be working for another team by now. But he’s our starting center now so we can only hope that he continues to play at last year’s level.
Leonard Davis RG – With the move to guard, the plan is for Davis to take full advantage of his size and strength without having to deal with speed rushers. Marco Rivera was the weakest link on the line last year. It would be almost impossible for Davis not to be an upgrade. But we don’t want just an upgrade, we want dominance in our power running game, and Davis just might be the key to getting that.
Marc Colombo RT – The Cowboys struck gold when they rescued Colombo off the scrap heap. Once a big-time talent robbed by injury, he’s now a guy who knows what hard work off the field can bring, and exhibits the same trait on the field. Not the most gifted player anymore, but a guy who gets the job done through determination.
Pat McQuistan T/G – The second-year player was thought to be on the track to play left tackle, but the Cowboys have made some noise about moving him inside to guard. But with Adams still having knee issues; McQ has stayed at tackle for now. He’s a big guy with some skill, it will be interesting to see if there is a big jump in his play now he’s made it through his rookie year.
Cory Procter C– Someone has got to back up Andre Gurode at center and it looks like Procter will get his shot. The depth at the center position is still a concern.
James Marten RT – Another Boston College lineman - they’re everywhere in the NFL - Marten is destined to back up fellow BC alum Colombo at right tackle.
Doug Free LT – A physically gifted lineman who projects to left tackle in the NFL. His progress at tackle may influence which position McQ eventually ends up at, guard or tackle. If Free can make an impression, he could be in line for Flozell’s spot after this year.
The rest of the guys – Wait until training camp.
Technorati Tags: Dallas Cowboys, Roger Staubach, Quarterback
Most Cowboys fans can remember Roger Staubach’s scrambling ability as one of his great attributes. Not surprisingly, among quarterbacks in team history, he has the top three positions in terms of rushing yards by a quarterback in a single season.
Steve Pelleur was another scrambler who had the fourth highest total (314) in 1988. One year later, rookie Troy Aikman passed the 300-yard mark with 302 yards. Neither Aikman nor any other Cowboy quarterback has rushed for more than 300 yards in a season since 1989.
As you can see below, Tony Romo’s 102 yards last season ranks pretty low on the list of quarterbacks who have rushed for at least 100 yards in a season. With a full season, I would expect him to get more.

Fantasy Preview: the Dallas Cowboys - Dallas Cowboys
While the Bears have given up on defensive tackle Tank Johnson, there are three teams that may give him a serious look, with one being the Cowboys. The Cowboys could use a player like Johnson on their D-line, and reports state that one member of the Cowboys organization says that Johnson would be a “perfect fit” in new coach Wade Phillips’ 3-4 defense. No contact has been made as of yet between the Cowboys and Johnson, but it may be coming shortly.
Another team that may have interest according to ESPN’s John Clayton is the Buffalo Bills. The Bills have a young defense, and they could use a player like Johnson on a team that appears right now to have an offense that is much better than its defense. Again, no contact made as of yet between the Bills and Johnson. Finally, Clayton says the Saints may be a team that will take a look at Tank. New Orleans would be able to get the linemen cheap, as Clayton reports that Johnson was only scheduled to make $510,000 this season, which means that the team that picks him up should be able to snag him for about $240,000.
The bottom line on Johnson is risk. He has already had more than one chance with a solid organization with the Bears, and he blew that. It will be interesting to see what team wants to take the risk of picking up a player that has had numerous charges go against him, and even when told that he only has one more chance, goes out and screws it up like Johnson did last weekend in Phoenix. My bet is a team like Dallas, that is known for taking troubled players, gives him the hardest look.
Last week SI.com's Peter King ranked the 32 starting quarterbacks , which inspired me to look more closely at my former position, wide receiver. via SI.com
Todd Archer does the roster evaluation thing with the offensive line. I will do my own evaluation later today.
For now check out Archer’s and check out dunkman’s diary on the same subject.

We signed another offensive lineman.
The Cowboys have added another offensive lineman to the roster by signing guard/center Steve Franklin.
Franklin, 6-2, 320 pounds, spent this spring playing for the Rhein Fire in NFL Europa as a non-allocated player. Because he will count against the 85-man roster limit, the cowboys will have to release three players once they start signing draft picks.Franklin, who played for linebackers coach Paul Pasqualoni at Syracuse, went to training camp last year with Kansas City before being cut. He was a starter for the Fire in the spring.
Assistant coach Garrett gets his own write-up over at DC.com. Not Jason, but his brother John, who is coaching the tight ends.
His younger brother Jason spent seven seasons as a backup quarterback for the Cowboys and is now the Cowboys' new offensive coordinator. His father Jim, a long-time scout, coach and spent, spent 17 years in the Cowboys organization as a scout. And even his other younger brother Judd managed to latch on to the Cowboys practice squad for a season in 1993.
So it was only a matter of time before John became part of the Cowboys family as well.
"Not many people know this," Garrett said, "but I tried out for the '88 Cowboys team, but didn't make it."
The brothers played together on the same teams when they were young, now they’re coaching together.
"We've been together a lot on teams, playing together," John Garrett said. "[Jason] is such a knowledgeable guy and he loves it so much, and that's a joy to be around. You are coaching at a high level because of the knowledge, but he has enthusiasm and he wants to do it right."
Given that he is the NFL’s all-time leading rusher, everyone knows that Emmitt Smith is the Cowboys’ all-time leading rusher. The next three names–Tony Dorsett, Don Perkins, and Calvin Hill–should come as no surprise. The next four might be a bit surprising, though, with the likes of Robert Newhouse, Walt Garrison, and Herschel Walker.
In only three seasons, Julius Jones is the eighth leading rusher in team history. He needs 349 yards to surpass Walker, 990 to surpass Garrison, and 1854 to pass Newhouse. Marion Barber is ranked 18th on the list, with 1192 career yards.
Among the 21 players who have 1,000 career rushing yards with the Cowboys, three are quarterbacks (Staubach, Meredith, and Aikman).
Here is the full list of those who have rushed for more than 1,000 with the team (those in italics are active)

"There are few places in sports you dictate what is going on. I love to compete. It gets back to the reasons why you played when you were younger. You just enjoy the competition."
"I don't think the offense was good. I don't think the team was good. He was in a bad situation," Sanders says. "People who know the game of football will say, "Forget Dallas, period. That don't even count.'
"What he went through in Dallas, I wish no quarterback to go through, especially a young quarterback."
On Thursday the Cowboys announced the signing of 6-foot-2, 302-pound guard Steve Franklin. The three-year starter at Syracuse was out of football last season after going to training camp with the Chiefs as a rookie free agent. He was released by the Chiefs and was not picked up. The move means that the Cowboys have six guards on their roster, including veteran Andre Gurode, who can play both guard and center.
