The Dallas Cowboys exploded in the 2nd half of the game last night as they kicked the Cowboys’ ass! Tony Romo completed 22 of 35 passes for 329 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 interception. RB Marion Barber was outstanding as he was running over the Bears defense. He carried the ball 15 times for 102 yards (6.8 ypc) with 1 TD run and he also caught 1 pass for 10 yards and it was a TD. Julius Jones also carried some of the load in the running game last night as he toted the rock 7 times for 26 yards (3.7 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 29 yards (14.5 avg). Terrell Owens was devastating to the Bears’ defense as he caught 8 passes for 145 yards (18.1 avg) and TE Jason Witten was also very busy with 6 catches for 90 yards (15.0 avg) and a TD. The Cowboys finished up with 131 yards rushing on 25 carries (5.2 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 35 passes for 300 yards.
The defense of the Cowboys was outstanding last night. Roy Williams (3 tackles, fumble recovery, interception), Anthony Henry (2 tackles, 2 interceptions (1 returned 51 yards for a TD)) and linebacker DeMarcus Ware (6 tackles, 2 sacks) were all outstanding! The Cowboys held the Bears to 75 yards rushing on 23 carries (3.3 ypc) and the Bears also completed 15 of 33 passes for 164 yards.
Tony Romo has been outstanding so far this season for the Cowboys. He has completed 29 of 53 passes (54.7%) for 531 yards with 6 TD passes and 1 interception (119.3 QB Rating). He has also run the ball 7 times for 47 yards (6.7 ypc) with 1 TD run. With the line blocking like they are (only 2 sacks allowed) and the running game churning out 154.0 yards per game……Tony Romo should continue to be deadly this season for the Cowboys.

Tony Romo had a solid game completing 14 of 29 passes for 186 with 2 TD passes and 0 interceptions. He also ran the ball 4 times for 36 yards (9.0 ypc). Marion Barber did the heavy lifting in the running game as he carried the ball 14 times for 89 yards (6.4 ypc) with 2 TD runs. Julius Jones had a rough time finding running room against the Dolphins as he carried the ball 15 times for 32 yards (2.1 ypc). WR Terrell Owens was outstanding as usual with 5 catches for 97 yards (19.4 avg) with 1 TD. The Cowboys finished up with 166 yards rushing on 36 carries (4.6 ypc) and they completed 14 of 29 passes for 186 yards.
The defense was outstanding yesterday for the Cowboys as they held the Dolphins to 61 yards rushing on 21 carries (2.9 ypc) and they intercepted Trent Green 4 times! CB Anthony Henry (2 tackles, 2 interceptions) and safeties Roy Williams (4 tackles, interception) and Ken Hamlin (5 tackles, interception) were baiting Trent Green into the mistakes the whole game. The Dolphins did throw for 273 yards on 23 of 40 passing but it didn’t matter in the long run as the Cowboys were the vastly superior team yesterday.
